Being a school, with multifarious activities there are several opportunities and we encourage all our students to persevere, participate and take responsibility for their own development. We maintain a three way partnership in which parents are a tremendous support. With each academic session we are growing in strength and achievement on all fronts.
Holi is the festival of colours. It brings along with itself the shades of joy, brotherhood, enjoyment and optimism. The Pre- Primary section of Explore International School had prepared for a wonderful session end party. It was indeed a "learn with fun" day for everyone and a very joyful experience for the children.
A fruit salad is a delicious dish with different kinds of fruit, sometimes served submerged in their own fruit juice, or lathered with syrup. Students of EIS had experienced making such a wonderful dish with full enthusiasm. The team has done a great job and the outcome was enough appreciable. It was an overwhelming episode. School days becomes memorable when young mind gets filled with the urge of knowing. Academics can reach the pinnacle when it goes hand in hand with experience and observation.
Fitness means being able to perform set of physical activities. It also means having the energy and strength to feel as good as possible. Getting more fit, even a little bit, can improve your health in long term. So with the arrival of "Winter", EIS is celebrating Fitness Week. Not only students but teachers are also enthusiastic toward participating in the "Fitness Week Activity". Starting from yoga to aerobics, badminton to other outdoor games everything is being enjoyed. Sunny mornings are getting filled with joyous spirit and of course it is a good way to start our day.
The Fitness Activity is also extending its branches towards the "Go Green" campaign. The senior sections have taken efforts to plant small saplings that marks an initiative towards rejuvenating today's environmental conditions. The condition is alarming enough so our little step can surely lead to a vast range of changes. Let's be the first to bring the change! The bright thoughts of young minds is enough to make the difference.
IEO and NSO examinations held and students have got enriched with experience and loads of knowledge. This globally accepted and recognised Olympiad examinations have brought upon a bright opportunity on our children. So let's come up with the motive - Education+Experience =Success
"FIT INDIA MOVEMENT"- Essay and poem writing competition. The topic was unique and children were filled with optimism. Young learners had shown their talents and skills in writing such excellent articles that worth immense appreciation. Such activities that prove a child's ability and can inculcate confidence within them.
Kids, there are no words to describe how special you are to us. Come on let’s enjoy this day with fun and laughter. Time for some splashing fun cheers and jolly time for everyone because it’s Children’s Day! May the love and laughter always stay on every child’s face, Happy Children’s Day !!!
Primary section's (Grade III, IV, V) visit to Krishna Nursery, Nasibpur was a real success. Children were overwhelmed to visit such a place filled with such greenary. Children got the opportunity to inculcate a true knowledge on “Growth of plants”. They were made aware of the process of sapling plantation and seed dispersal and many other information that are related to their curriculum. The visit to the nursery have fetched them a lot of knowledge and they have enjoyed the short trip. The educational trip made them have a clear concept on the topic that were taught in class and the visual experience helped the children for a much clear emphasis.
Explore International School auspiciously celebrated the Dance Competitions.
When it comes to educational trips nothing can be more amazing than that! The Middle and the Senior sections of EIS had been to Mother Dairy Plant, Dankuni for learning about ways of milk processing and packaging. The trip was quite educative and students have observed processes and have learnt about the specific methodologies that have been mentioned in their curriculum. EIS is with the moto " See and Learn to the fullest".
Mann Ki Baat session was a real success. Such counselling sessions can make children get aware of their own thoughts. The slide shows that were shown were quite encouraging. Students were made to think in their own way. The main aim of the session was to pour in optimism within the young crowd.
Through "Green day activity" Gandhiji was remembered once again. The 150th Birth Anniversary was celebrated with significant accuracy. The Primary section came together to make several formations that would put up the real motive of the celebration.
Gandhi Jayanti Celebration by Primary section of EIS was an ultimate success. Such a wonderful day to remember the mighty personality "Mahatma Gandhi". The day was full of activities and various performances in different categories were held. It was an opportunity for the students to pay homage to the "Father of the Nation".
Student of EIS got the opportunity to get themselves enrolled in the International level SOF Examination ( Science Olympiad Foundation). The IGKO Exam(International General Knowledge Olympiad) was scheduled and it was successfully conducted. Students have learned much more than their assigned curriculum being a part of the examination.
The public campaigning was successfully accomplished. Children were not only made aware about the disadvantages of using plastic. In fact it was their turn today to spread the message "Say No to Plastic" . Children went for a public campaigning that included exchange of plastic bottles to copper bottles. Usage of jute bags is much more environment friendly and can make our planet a better place to live in. They talked to the villagers regarding the advantages of using the substitute of plastic.
Explore International School auspiciously celebrated the birth anniversary of the great warrior and orator Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 24th January 2019. In the morning of 24 the January 2019 our Principal Ma’am and CEO sir were present to pay homage to the patriot. Our respected Principal Ma’am garlanded the portrait of Netaji which was followed by a small programme.
The celebration of famous patriots’ birthdays convey a positive vibe to the students. Their strengths inspire the students to become more particular towards their nation.
EXPLORE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL celebrated Republic Day with pride and honour. Republic Day is an official holiday but our school celebrated this day by hoisting National Flag followed by parade and a tricoloured programme .The students marched inside the campus of the school and they felt proud to be an Indian. The children were dressed in Tri-colour. The School was decorated in Tri-colour and the students sang patriotic songs, performed skit and organized a dance drama. At last National Anthem was sung by the students.
The celebration of this day has brought utmost joy to the students. They have understood the real meaning of democracy and they have taken oath to become more responsible as a citizen of India.
In India, the National Mathematics Day is observed on December 22 every year. It is celebrated in order to honour the birth anniversary of the famous mathematician Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan. The school made the students familiar with the renowned mathematicians like Sir Ramanujan, Sakuntala Devi, Aryabhatta, Mahalanobis. The work of these mathematicians inspired the students a lot. It had helped them to know how one's hard work helps them to reach the apex of success. Students made geometrical shapes by using string, pins and soft boards. Through this, students were able to know the relation between visual arts with Mathematics. Activities comprising puzzle games, riddles were conducted by the students.
The main objective is to provide a forum to the students to pursue their natural curiosity and stimulate interest among them in Mathematics, developing in students the habit and skills to use mathematics to describe the world, to remove maths-phobia from the minds of the students.
CHRISTMAS is celebrated at Explore International School in a magnificent way. On 21st December the school campus was beautifully coloured with the colour of joy. Students have celebrated the joy of love, the joy of being kind, the joy of being selfless and above all the joy of the birth of the Christ. As a part of activity the students had made snow man, Santa Claus, Christmas tree and decorated the boards with the colours of CHRISTMAS.
Students presented skits, songs, dances to celebrate the day. The school has arranged a Christmas party for the students. Students also felt blessed to have Santa Claus at the school campus. Students learn the cultural variations and yet the bond of love, warmth, cheer and selflessness that bind mankind together. To sum up then, Christmas should be celebrated in schools and involving students from all faiths and castes to make them understand UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
World AIDS Day, is observed on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. Government and health officials, non-governmental organizations, and individuals around the world observe the day, often with education on AIDS prevention and control.
EXPLORE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL had also conducted an awareness programme on Aids Day. The Biology teachers had arranged an introductory session with a Power Point Presentation along with an interactive session to male students aware of the deadly disease. Students also distributed red ribbons as the red ribbon is the universal symbol of awareness and support for people living with HIV. Wearing a ribbon is a great way to raise awareness on and during the run up to World AIDS Day. The purpose of the World Aids Day celebration every year to well support the Member States in order to build up the new and effective policies and programmes, to strengthen the health systems as well as to increase the capacity of health sectors towards HIV/AIDS.
Halloween is a celebration observed in several countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It begins the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed. Explore International School had a Halloween Parade where students were allowed to dress up according to the Halloween theme. Students from Nursery till UKG participated in the parade on 14th November,2018. The idea behind celebrating Children's Day-cum-Halloween in our school is to create awareness of the festivals celebrated across the world.
The kids mostly preferred dressing up as skeletons with colourful wigs. The most popular costumes are Dracula teeth and masks so few kids dressed up as Dracula. To accompany them Pre-primary teachers also dressed up as per the Halloween theme. Kids enjoyed skeleton dancing in their respective classrooms. They cut a cake with the help of their respective class teachers.
From darkness to the light that empowers us to commit ourselves to good deeds, that which brings us closer to divinity; lights illuminate every corner of India during Diwali and the scent of incense sticks hang in the air, mingled with the sounds of fire-crackers, joy, togetherness and hope.
The celebration of Diwali, 'The festival of lights' came alive at Explore International School on 2nd of November. Welcoming the festival of lights, students have conducted a special school assembly with a small skit and a cultural dance, with the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil.
Students of Explore International School, unfolded their creative abilities in an Inter House Board Decoration Competition based on the theme “Green Diwali”, which brought out the essence of the festival-celebration of life and goodness. Students, through their posters talked about - why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Through this, students tried to convey in their small way and taught us how this pious festival can be celebrated in other way than by just burning crackers and polluting the environment.
India have won every single world cup and the Asian games title in the sport. And Explore International School is not an exception! The awareness generated by the Pro Kabaddi League and the enthusiasm of the school coaches transpired into the students and several students were taken to the liking of the sport which laid foundation for a very successful inter-house competition.
A special, week-long, coaching and training program was kept preceding the competition to assist the participants give an even better performance. The Inter- House Kabbadi Match for Girls and Boys took place in our school premises on the 10th of November 2018. It was the first Kabaddi match to be held on the grounds of Explore International School. It was a very exciting match and all the students who were present there as the viewers kept on cheering for their respective houses till the end.
After the initial rounds full of excitement, it was then time for the finals. In the finals, Phoenix House in their match against Unicorn House, showed remarkable spirit to stay in the match. Members from both the teams showed some exhilarating skills and temperament to make the finals very entertaining for the spectators. But in the end, Unicorn House won the final comprehensively. Kabaddi for Boys Finals, was more closer and intense as the participants from both Dragon and Unicorn houses were determined to help their house win the competition. The match was also very high on skill and strategy.
In a seesaw battle, both teams showed glimpses of why they were the finalists as they won over the amazed spectators. Eventually, Unicorn House team won the final against a very resilient Dragon House team.The enthusiasm and increased participation in a very traditional sport like kabaddi amongst the kids itself is the greatest achievement of this Inter House Kabaddi Competition. It was the successful event put up by the entire sports team and the student players.
Explore International School had organized an Inter House Eco-Friendly Rangoli Making Competition on 3rd of November during Diwali in which students of all the four houses added the perfect setting to the festivity. It was not only to enhance its design courses student's imagination but also to intact our Indian tradition. Our objective was to encourage students to celebrate festivals in an innovative way.
Organizing such events help students to remain in close touch with their culture. Rangoli Competitions play an important role in motivating students to perform and outshine in their creative skills. It offers a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, adopt innovative techniques, showcase talents, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal ability.
Students made various design of Rangoli ranging from geometrical to floral patterns. The whole display was overwhelming. Principal Ma’am appreciated this endeavour of the students and encouraged them to celebrate every festival with the same spirit and enthusiasm. She even wished the participants a happy, prosperous and pollution-free Diwali. This competition was held to drive home the message and reinforce the pledge to celebrate a green and noise-free Diwali.
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world...
We were privileged to get a chance of making merrier world through ‘FOOD FIESTA’ – ISA activity. On 14th November 2018 the whole school was experiencing non flame cooking of exclusive food items of different countries. The countries which were involved are India, China, England, Srilanka, France . Everyone enjoyed every single moment of the activity , starting from the chopping of the veggies to making the dough, mixing the ingredients to garnishing the final dish. A magic show was the cherry on the cake for this event.
The program was inaugurated by our Principal followed by a beautiful dance presentation of Grade II and Grade III. Few children dressed up in traditional dress as country representative. Everybody enjoyed the finger licking food like Sri Lankan mixed rice, carrot coconut salad , pasta , noodles, fruit tarts, chocolate tarts, different chats of India, handmade chocolates. Overall it was a successful event organised by ISA Team.
